Dear Monday: Let’s Try Again

Start With God, Not the To-Do List

Mondays can seem tricky & sometimes we feel pressured to have all the things together. If we shift our perspectives, we can start to look at the start of our week as a way to reset, refocus & start over.

I know I use to dread Mondays , all the obligations, list of incomplete tasks, ideas that were still in their strategy stages and scribblings in my journal of things that I wanted to do that didn’t seem to leave the pages.

It wasn’t until I started to look at Monday as an opportunity only than was I was able to get out of the fear of feeling responsible for things I was afraid to do.

This week, I want to challenge you to expand your viewpoint.
Sometimes we can’t see the horizon because we’re too focused on the mountains in front of us.

  • ✨ Build a Sunday routine that helps you prepare for Monday.

—> Instead of waiting to face the to do list on Monday, break your bigger tasks into smaller ones. We tend to think we have to do all things in one day, and sometimes God just wants us to take one step toward our goals.

What is one thing you can do Monday to get closer to your goal?

  • ✨Show up in a way that makes you feel good.

If you work from home you can try a new hair style, throw on some new lip gloss or do a little self care before you get your day started. One thing I believe and has shown to be true for me is that when you look good, you feel good.

  • ✨Lastly but most Important, start your day with Christ.

Don’t just read the devotional out of habit, but meditate on it. What is God saying to you about your day? Sometimes we ask God for so many things, but let’s take time to ask him what he needs from us. Write down whatever words may sprout in your spirit and encourage yourself in the Lord Like David did !

I Pray that God gives you clarity, strategy and wisdom this week. I would love to hear how it goes if your willing to share!!!

Love always,

FaithJ 💜
